You all know I love a good alliteration post. No matter what month it is, you know I can find a fun alliteration to theme a post around. Spring is in the air and that means it’s time for some spring cleaning.
Mindset cleaning, that is. Because I’m not actually going to clean my room and YOU CAN’T MAKE ME. It’s time to clear out those negative thoughts and replace them with some affirmations!
Take a look at my April affirmations that I hope to carry with me throughout the year…or at least the season…or at least the week…hell, if I could just avoid buying a coffee today, that would be great…
I look great in my spring wardrobe
As the weather begins to get a bit warmer, it’s time to break out that spring wardrobe! It’s that time of year where you need a sweatshirt in the morning, a crop top midday, then a parka in the evening. But none of that matters! It all looks great, period.
I have a sitcom friend group
As I start to come out of hibernation, I’m looking to get out more, and for an extrovert like me, that means being where the people are. When I go to be where the people are, I have that ideal sitcom friend group that loves getting together for coffee or food or yoga or video games or just to chat.
I listen to more than one song on repeat per day
Wow, I am well adjusted and not depressed at all! I listen to a wide variety of music that I enjoy, not just “Way Less Sad” by AJR on repeat. Who would even do that? No idea…
I have plenty of blog post ideas
Creativity is not a finite resource, even though it may feel like one sometimes. I have plenty of creative ideas! So I don’t have to stoop to writing listicles and weird alliteration posts every week!
I don’t need to go to the local coffee shop, there’s coffee at home
Okay, so this is less of an affirmation and more of a fact I need to remind myself…
I can watch new shows, not just reruns of old ones
Who needs to watch NailedIt! again when you can watch literally anything else? We live in a golden age of television which leaves us with a myriad of new content to stream. I can watch all of them with ease and confidence.
I’m a trivia and axe throwing prodigy
Every trivia and axe league night I go to, I crush it. Failure? Who’s she? I don’t know her.
The new baking recipes I try come out tasty and moist
I’ve begun baking a bit recently, and since I’m just starting out, I’ve been looking up all kinds of recipes and trying them out. Even though they’re all new to me, they come out perfectly delicious and moist. People come far and wide just to try my baked goods (they’re very exclusive, I only make one loaf or batch of muffins at a time) and cringe as I repeatedly use the word “moist” any and every opportunity I get.
I always get the Wordle
Honestly, the list could’ve started and stopped here. This is really the only one that I need.
I attract people into my life that align with me and make my life better
Whether it’s socially via Bumble BFF and other friends or it’s professional networking, I attract those who are meant to be in my sphere that align with me. Everyone comes into my life for a reason, and that reason is always awesome.
I have the energy and motivation to go to yoga 2-3 times per week
Yoga is so great for me, and now that I don’t turn into a popsicle the moment I step out my front door, I can go out more easily and frequently to do it! Getting in that regular yoga practice is great for the body and mind.
I don’t procrastinate and leave everything to the last minute
I get things done days, no, weeks in advance and far prefer that to cramming everything in at the last second. I don’t get a strange thrill from completing something just under the wire…and even if I did, I wouldn’t know it because I get things done so early.
I do all of my laundry in a timely manner, not just when I run out of underwear
Just like everything else, I don’t leave laundry until the last minute! I don’t rewear dirty sweaters for weeks on end simply because I didn’t have the energy to do laundry. Nope, I get on it as soon as the hamper has JUST ONE DIRTY THING in it.
My tweets are brilliant, witty, and worthy of being turned into a book
Gina Linetti reference? No?
I mean, c’mon…just tell me this isn’t the work of a true (depressed) genius. I dare you.
I am able to focus and get my work done, no matter what the weather is outside
Even when it is rainy and I just feel like taking a nap or it’s so sunny that I’m itching to be outside, I can focus super well on my work and don’t get distracted at all.
I am not tempted by the bathing suits at Target
Nope, not me. I know that I have plenty of bathing suits at home and that “new” doesn’t necessarily mean “better.” Just because Target has put out all of their new swimsuits doesn’t mean that I need to buy one.
…but on the off chance I am, I have nothing to worry about because abundance is coming
Amen.
